A Brooklyn Cabaret 2015
Come to the Brooklyn Cabaret at BMS, old friend - August 28th &30th!
Summer Vocal Arts Program (SVA) at BMS will present two performances of "A Brooklyn Cabaret" on August 28th and 30th. Edgy and wildly entertaining, the show will feature award-winning cabaret performer Kim David Smith alongside our talented student cast. Don't miss this exciting performance which will include selections by Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, Kurt Weill and others!
Summer Vocal Arts Program (SVA) at BMS provides a selective five-week intensive exposure to high level vocal arts preparation and performance. Each week of this accelerated course will include approximately nine hours of classes in singing, performance, acting, and dance for singers integrated with rehearsal.
Designed to accommodate both highly promising student performers and accomplished adults, the SVA culminates in a fully produced and staged show that will be presented to the Brooklyn community as a showcase for BMS talent.
As the original home of The Little Opera Company of New York from 1925 to 1931, the Brooklyn Music School Playhouse theater has a long tradition of vocal performance in the arts community.
Support our students and our mission to continue this tradition!
