Seduction, flirtation, mistaken identity, scheming and humor-- these are among the themes of classic comic opera scenes and arias to be performed in "Scherzo: Scenes from Beloved Comic Operas."

Demonstrating that opera is not only about tragedy and doom, this production by the Brooklyn Music School includes selections from Mozart, Rossini, Offenbach, Bernstein, and Gilbert & Sullivan performed by talented BMS vocal students and emerging opera stars.
