Youth Group Music Classes
GROUP PIANO
Group Piano Jr. A - (ages 5-7.6) - Saturdays 9:00-9:45am 9/7 - 6/21
BMS’s Group Piano class provides students with an engaging and interactive introduction to the piano. Students will learn proper posture, develop technique, and learn to read music notation. In this class, students will perform solo and in groups in a supportive environment that includes exposure to a variety of musical traditions using the Faber "My First Piano" Book for Level I!
Group Piano Jr. B - (ages 5-7.6) - Saturdays 10:00-10:45am 9/7-6/21
BMS’s Jr. Group Piano II class continues young piano instruction using the Faber "My First Piano" Book for Level II! This piano class explores more in-depth musical concepts and notation using a variety of traditional and beginner repertoire.
Group Piano Sr. A - (ages 7 - 9) - Saturdays 11:00am - 12:00pm 9/7-6/21
This Senior Piano I class provides older beginner students with an engaging and interactive introduction to the piano. Students will learn proper posture, develop technique, and learn to read music notation. In this class, students will perform solo and in groups in a supportive environment that includes exposure to a variety of musical traditions using the Alfred books for Level I!
Group Piano Sr. B (ages 7 - 9) - Saturdays 12pm - 1:00pm 9/7-6/21
This Senior Piano II class continues piano instruction for the older beginner using the Alfred Level II books! Students will build upon earlier concepts such as technique, expression, articulation, and music notation!
