Brooklyn Music School is excited to partner with Mark Morris Dance Group to present a Music and Dance Experience for Mid-Winter and Spring Break!

Mid-Winter Music and Dance Experience

February 17th - 21st, 2025

Brighten up your mid-winter break with music and dance! Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Music School have teamed up to bring kids ages 5 to 12 a unique interdisciplinary camp during NYC public schools' 2025 mid-winter break.  Inspired by Pepperland, Mark Morris’ critically acclaimed work set to the iconic music of The Beatles, this camp invites young artists to dive into Morris’ choreography and use those concepts to create their own unique dance and music expressions.

With a mix of dance, music, and theater classes, campers will explore, create, and perform in a week brimming with energy and imagination.

The Music and Dance Experience unfolds in a dual-campus format, with mornings at Brooklyn Music School (126 St. Felix Street) and afternoons at the Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue). At week’s end, campers will showcase their creativity in an informal performance for family and friends at the Brooklyn Music School Playhouse.

Open to children at all levels, with and without disabilities.

SPring break Music and Dance Experience

April 14th - 18th, 2025

Turn spring break into a musical adventure! Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Music School are thrilled to present a fun-filled, interdisciplinary camp for kids ages 5 to 12 during the NYC public schools' 2025 spring break. This session brings the magic of the award-winning musical Seussical! to life. Campers will dive into the world of Dr. Seuss, creating their own dance moves and scenes inspired by the beloved musical. Through a variety of music, dance, and theater classes, kids will be encouraged to explore and unleash their creativity, while making new friends along the way!

This exciting experience takes place across two campuses, with mornings at Brooklyn Music School (126 St. Felix Street) and afternoons at the Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue). The week culminates in an informal showcase at the Brooklyn Music School Playhouse, where family and friends can celebrate the campers’ creativity.

Open to children at all levels, with and without disabilities.
