MEET THE INSTRUMENT I (2 - 3.5 YEARS)

Saturdays, 1/11/25 - 4/13/25, 9:00-9:45am

In this class, students will be introduced to different musical instruments and styles by the instructor and special guest professional musicians. This class explores musical concepts such as tempo, dynamics, and timbre through musical activities and games. During certain classes, BMS instructors will attend classes to introduce and demonstrate a variety of instruments. Early Musicianship provides a musical foundation for students and acts as a great jumping off point for private lessons.

MEET THE INSTRUMENT II (3 - 4 YEARS 11 months)

Saturdays, 1/11/25 - 4/13/25, 10:00-10:45am

In this class, students will be introduced to different musical instruments and styles by the instructor and special guest professional musicians. 3S & 4S WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE

Saturdays, 1/11/25 - 4/13/25, 11:00-11:45am

The 3s and 4s World Percussion Ensemble class introduces a variety of world percussion instruments to students including various drums, shakers, and other percussion instruments. In this collaborative learning environment students play solo and in groups while exploring musical concepts such as rhythm, finding the beat, phrasing, and pitch.

Mini Maestros

Tuesdays, 1/7/2025 - 4/8/2025, 9:00-9:45am

In this interactive toddlers and 2’s class, instructors will introduce basic musical concepts and terms using echo songs, finger play, and expressive movement. Your child will be immersed in an engaging environment that will foster musical development such as finding the beat, demonstrating the difference between high sounds and low sounds through movement, and hearing the difference between fast/slow, and loud/soft. Students will also be exposed to a variety of musical styles and instruments including drums, shakers, and bells!

MUSIC EXPLORERS

Tuesdays, 1/7/2025 - 4/8/2025, 10:00-10:45am

In our Musical Explorers class, children will further their musical journey through singing, movement activities, storytelling, and interacting with various instruments and props. In this positive and creative environment, children will further their understanding of basic musical terms such as forte and piano, and demonstrate their knowledge by playing a variety of instruments!

Policies and Fees

    • Trial Classes

      • If requested, we invite families to participate in one Trial Class before they sign up for the Trimester.  

      • Students who would like to participate in a Trial Class need to email  registrar@brooklynmusicschool.org at least 24 hours in advance.  

      • There is a $35 fee for all Early Childhood Trial Classes.

      • After the Trial Class, students must enroll for the Trimester or try a different class.

    • Refunds

      • Refund requests must be submitted in writing

      • For refunds before the date of the first class, a full refund will be issued, less a 5% processing fee.

      • No refunds will be given after the fourth week of classes.

    • Registration Fee

      • Students (new and continuing) must pay a one-time registration fee of $45 per family for the Academic Year 9/2024 - 8/2025.
