Fall Trimester Classes

MEET THE INSTRUMENT I (2 - 3.5 YEARS)

Saturdays, 9/7-12/14, 9:00-9:45am

In this class, students will be introduced to different musical instruments and styles by the instructor and special guest professional musicians. This class explores musical concepts such as tempo, dynamics, and timbre through musical activities and games. During certain classes, BMS instructors will attend classes to introduce and demonstrate a variety of instruments. Early Musicianship provides a musical foundation for students and acts as a great jumping off point for private lessons.

MEET THE INSTRUMENT II (3 - 4 YEARS 11 months)

Saturdays, 9/7-12/14, 10:00-10:45am

In this class, students will be introduced to different musical instruments and styles by the instructor and special guest professional musicians. This class explores musical concepts such as tempo, dynamics, and timbre through musical activities and games. During certain classes, BMS instructors will attend classes to introduce and demonstrate a variety of instruments. Early Musicianship provides a musical foundation for students and acts as a great jumping off point for private lessons.

3S & 4S WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE

Saturdays 9/7 -12/14, 11:00-11:45am

The 3s and 4s World Percussion Ensemble class introduces a variety of world percussion instruments to students including various drums, shakers, and other percussion instruments. In this collaborative learning environment students play solo and in groups while exploring musical concepts such as rhythm, finding the beat, phrasing, and pitch.

Policies and Fees

    • Trial Classes

      • If requested, we invite families to participate in one Trial Class before they sign up for the Trimester.  

      • Students who would like to participate in a Trial Class need to email  registrar@brooklynmusicschool.org at least 24 hours in advance.  

      • There is a $35 fee for all Early Childhood Trial Classes.

      • After the Trial Class, students must enroll for the Trimester or try a different class.

    • Refunds

      • Refund requests must be submitted in writing

      • For refunds before the date of the first class, a full refund will be issued, less a 5% processing fee.

      • No refunds will be given after the fourth week of classes.

    • Registration Fee

      • Students (new and continuing) must pay a one-time registration fee of $45 per family for the Academic Year 9/2024 - 8/2025.
