The Hard Nut Singers
ATTN: Singers ageS 10-18
Perform at bam this holiday season!
Participants in this class will perform the choir sections from "The Waltz of the Snowflakes" in The Hard Nut, Mark Morris Dance Group's production of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, and perform holiday carols during pre-show and intermission!

Requirements:
There is no audition requirement for this opportunity - previous experience is a big plus, willingness to commit is an absolute must! Hard Nut Singers must commit to the 10-week rehearsal period (1 absence permitted), and at least 4 performances. Please take a look at the rehearsal and performance schedule below.
Please note: Tchaikovsky's music is written for higher voices (soprano, alto, treble). Lower voice types may participate in caroling only. We are looking for singers aged 10-18, but if your child falls outside of this age range and you feel they would be a good fit, please reach out!
Schedule:
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 5:30-6:30, October 2- December 11 at Brooklyn Music School (126 Saint Felix Street)
Tech/Dress Rehearsal(s): TBA at BAM (30 Lafayette Ave)
Performances: at BAM (30 Lafayette Ave), call times TBA

Other Details:
This production will be performed with full orchestra. Hard Nut Singers will be performing from the loge, accessible via staircase. Unfortunately, there is no elevator or ADA access.
