We hope that you can join us for an exciting event for BMS Parents on Thursday, April 27th at 6:30 p.m.  This Parent Appreciation Evening will feature drinks, snacks, and some useful information on how to get the most out of your child's music education.
 
The agenda will be as follows:
 
6:30 p.m.         BMS Executive Director Piruz Partow will present on the topic of - "Parenting Your Music Student: tips on how to get the most out of your BMS experience" This will include common concerns such as encouraging your student to practice, collaboration with your instructor, preparation for performances, the role of music in cognitive development and confidence, and how musical achievement can help with the admissions process to competitive high schools and colleges.
 
7:00 p.m.         Piruz will present the highlights of our recent Parent-Student Survey and our Action Plan to respond to parent’s suggestions on how to improve the BMS experience to an even higher level.
 
7:15                 Crocker Coulson, Chair of the BMS Board of Trustees, will discuss current plans for extending BMS’s mission and the expansion and upgrade of our facilities and how parents can help us in building support with elected officials.
 
7:30                 Refreshments and discussion with BMS Leadership Team, Department Heads, and selected Board Members.
