Teen Week provides an immersive and collaborative experience for high school aged students to delve more deeply into their artistic practice. In this weeklong program from 10:30 to 3:30, students will work closely with teaching artists to hone their technical skills and develop their creative voices. Each day, students will collaborate on group projects and explore advanced concepts pertaining to their field of study.  The week will culminate in a showcase for family and friends at the BMS Playhouse.

For more information, please see the descriptions and sample schedules below!

Indie Artist Workshop

Calling all singer songwriters! The Indie Artist Workshop gives students an inside look at everything that goes into creating and maintaining a profile as an independent musician - both artistically and professionally. Students will participate in songwriting sessions and collaborate to record their compositions, and will also receive insight on business and marketing aspects such as booking and promoting gigs, building an artist website, and navigating the world of copyrights and digital streaming.

Music Production & Recording Workshop

Students in this workshop will gain experience in all aspects of professional recording and production, from setting up sessions and navigating the digital audio workstation (DAW), to overdubbing tracks and creating a mix. This program will focus on a central recording project where participants will collaboratively record and produce music performed by members of the Indie Artist Workshop.
