Please join Brian Woodruff, the Chair of Brooklyn Music School’s Percussion Department, for an exciting course designed to help you master the basics of reading rhythm!  Brian brings 35 years of experience teaching the subject to beginners and professionals alike.  The course is available to everyone, regardless of what instrument you play.  The class will emphasize participation, but students will not be required to own an instrument or even have one at home.  Students can participate by clapping, tapping on their knees or belly, or even on a tabletop.  Also, thanks to the nature of online courses, students who are uncomfortable need not perform for others.  In fact, when the class plays together, everyone but the teacher will be on mute!    The class will cover basic note values, rests, odd time signatures, fun, false groupings, the imaginary bar-line rule, and so on.  The list goes on…Did you see the fun part?  It will be!  We hope you can join us online!
